Here at The Coolector, we’ve long lamented the uninspired landscape of financial rewards. The endless accumulation of points for flights you’ll never take or lacklustre cashback offers have become the tired norm.

That’s why the arrival of Yonder, the UK’s cult rewards card, is such a breath of fresh air. And now, after much anticipation, it has officially landed in Edinburgh, bringing with it a philosophy that turns your everyday spending into experiences you’ll actually want to have.

To mark its grand entrance into the Scottish capital, it’s rolling out the Scotland Signatures campaign, a week-long celebration of the city’s most exciting independent venues, and frankly, it looks incredible.

From the 27th to the 31st of October, Yonder is giving its new Edinburgh members an unparalleled passport to the city’s vibrant food and drink scene. The concept is refreshingly simple: sign up, get your card, and head to a stellar line-up of partner venues to claim a signature dish or drink, on the house.

This isn’t just a launch; it’s a meticulously curated tour of the capital’s finest. The list of participating establishments reads like a veritable who’s who of Edinburgh’s culinary circuit. As Stuart Smith, the chef and patron of Fin & Grape, puts it, “Edinburgh is such an interesting food destination which is why the opportunity to work with Yonder for their launch in the city is so exciting.”

So, what does this culinary odyssey entail? Prepare to be impressed. You could be starting your evening at Montrose with exquisitely fresh Cumbrae oysters from the West coast, or perhaps easing into dinner at Sotto with the perfect aperitivo: a classic Negroni. Then there are the icons, like the dish that practically every table at Noto orders – their decadent North Sea crab with warm butter and sourdough.

For something truly special, Cardinal is including its smoked lobster dish as part of the experience, an item usually offered as a supplement. Even the humble hash brown is elevated at Ardfern, a crowd favourite served with seasonal toppings that showcases simple perfection.

The creativity doesn’t stop there. Over at Timberyard, members can sample a seasonal Sea Sandwort Dirty Martini, a testament to their mission of sustainability and flavour. For those with a sweet tooth, Norah is offering its now-famous soda bread ice cream, a unique treat you won’t find anywhere else in town.

If you’re after a neighbourhood staple, a coffee and pastry from The Palmerston awaits, while Fin & Grape is offering a bonus course of scallops and Crémant on its set menu. It’s a spectacular showcase of what makes the city’s independent scene so special.

Beyond this launch week extravaganza, the perks continue. Yonder has already secured a roster of brilliant Edinburgh partners, including the likes of Obadiah Coffee.

The benefits also extend nationally, with rewards at Trainline, airport lounges, and YonderFlights for those planning some winter sun.

We’re building a financial brand rooted in community and culture, and we’re excited to start that journey here.
Tim Chong – CEO, Yonder.
To sweeten the deal, new members will get a welcome bonus of £10 to kickstart their adventures. This is a proper Scottish welcome, done the Yonder way, and for those in Glasgow feeling left out… they see you, and they’re coming soon.
