Snowpiercer

Snowpiercer isn’t a film that we’d heard a great deal about until recently and the newly released trailer for the film has ramped up our excitement levels considerably because it looks as though it is shaping up rather fantastically indeed. Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans, fresh from his stint as Captain America, and follows the story of a post apocalyptic ice age that now forces mankind to survive on a super-train that traverses the globe because the conditions outside are no longer survivable.

The film also stars Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton and John Hurt and it is directed by visionary South Korean director, Bong Joon Ho, who is perhaps best known for writing and directing The Host. Whilst the above trailer may not be overly lengthy, it does enough to leave us wanting more and the premise of the film is suitably enticing to make its way onto our must watch list for 2014. The movie is based on the French graphic novel of the same name and the does look to be a very comic book-esque feel to the action sequences in the trailer and this is something that certainly appeals to our film sensibilities here at Coolector HQ.

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Snowpiercer, you’ll be glad to hear that it is set to hit cinemas on June 27 so not too long to wait now to board this particular train.
