There is a distinct, visceral memory many of us share of the 1970s and 80s—the smell of two-stroke oil, the rattle of a pull-start, and the sheer, unadulterated joy of a mini bike.
Those pint-sized machines were gateways to freedom, even if that freedom was limited to the backyard or the local sandlot. But as time marched on, the mini bike became a relic, replaced by plastic toys or sterile, utility-focused electric commuters.

Thankfully, the team behind ANTIC Bikes decided that “anti-aging” shouldn’t come in a tube, but rather on two wheels, designing, assembling, and supporting a new generation of electric mini bikes right here in the good old US of A that blends 70s inspiration with serious modern performance.

The first thing you notice about the ANTIC is the stance. It looks ready to pounce. It captures that vintage aesthetic perfectly but hides a powertrain that is lightyears ahead of a lawnmower engine. At the heart of this beast lies the proven and responsive Hypercore™ motor and powertrain, borrowed and adapted from the legendary Onewheel lineage.

This isn’t just parts-bin engineering; it’s a strategic move to utilize torque-rich acceleration that makes burning rubber and flying up hills effortless. The ANTIC isn’t a toy; it’s a legitimate vehicle capable of hitting top speeds of 35 mph.

When you are sitting that low to the ground, 35 mph feels like warp speed, delivering a dopamine hit that makes the morning commute feel like a track day.

What truly separates the ANTIC from the myriad of e-bikes clogging up the bike lanes is its terrain versatility and its “killer app” feature: the Wheelie Assist. Because it utilizes Onewheel’s signature self-balancing technology, the ANTIC features “Onewheel Mode.”

Riders can simply pop the front end up, and the onboard gyro and accelerometer sensors take over, holding your wheelie indefinitely while preventing the dreaded loop-out. It allows novices to look like seasoned stunt riders and makes the ride undeniably fun.

This isn’t just about showing off; it’s about capturing a feeling of control and playfulness that most modern transport lacks. You can fine-tune the angle and aggression in the companion app, giving you total control over your ride.

The versatility extends to where you can ride it. Shod with wide, go-kart inspired tires, the ANTIC laughs at the concept of “paved roads only.” Grass, packed sand, golf course turf—whatever lies between you and your destination is fair game.

The hydraulic front suspension smooths out the bumps, while single-lever front hydraulic and rear regenerative braking provide confident, low-maintenance stopping power. Despite this robust capability, the bike remains surprisingly portable. It is small enough to park by your desk at work and light enough to throw into the back of a truck for weekend camping missions.

ANTIC is launching with three distinct models to suit your range anxiety and budget. The base model is a fantastic entry point with 12–28 miles of range, available at a special launch price of $2,100 until December 1st.

However, for those who want to truly explore without limits, the Long Range model hits the sweet spot. Priced at $2,700, it pushes the envelope with a 24–50 mile range, ensuring the fun lasts all afternoon. For the ultimate setup, the Long Range+ model adds Performance Treaded tires for $2,900.

Whichever model you choose, you are getting a machine built with the durability and digital intelligence that have made Onewheel products beloved worldwide. It’s time to stop commuting and start riding.
